Description
- Enhancement of an existing public transport connection between the Gold Coast and Brisbane airports. Critical commuter, tourist and visitor transport.
Project Benefits
- Link between two of the busiest airports in the region and major employment centres. Provision of shorter travel times and alternative to cars.
- Provision of an alternate transport option for residents, local, inter-state and international business people. Increased access to employment and the development of major employment nodes along the corridor.

- Provision of a public transport option for residents. Provides access to a range of employment options and cost effective transport.
- Provision of an alternative route between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Shift journey from private vehicle to public transport.
- Opportunity for better linkages between the South East Queensland region and northern New South Wales . Reduced congestion and its impacts along major transport corridors and improved connectivity.
- Increased community engagement and mobility access for disadvantaged groups including people with a disability, aged and youth.
- Improved access to community facilities.
- Multiple potential linkages; the project would offer a public transport option on a regional basis; the project would enhance tourism in the region; facilitate business travel between Brisbane and the Gold Coast; and better linkages with northern New South Wales.
